He was predeceased by: his parents, William Fermental and Frances Fermental (O'Brien); and his wife Mary Ellen Fermental (Higgins). He is survived by: his daughters, Mary Margaret "Maggie" Fermental and Catherine Lanciault (Mark); his grandchildren, James Melanson (Gloria), Edward Melason, Daniel Melason and Anne Melanson; and his great grandchild Eric Denis Melanson. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
