With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James A. O'Connell of Medford, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 14, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the George L. Doherty Funeral Home (855 Broadway, Somerville, MA 02144). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Raphael Church (512 High St, Medford, MA 02155). A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 at 12:15 PM at the Oak Grove Cemetery (230 Playstead Rd, Medford, MA 02155).
