He was predeceased by: his parents, Rosario Cartolano and Rose Cartolano (LaPorta); his wife Margaret "Margie" Cartolano (McCormack); his son Michael F. Cartolano; and his siblings, Joseph, Anthony, Angie DiStefano and Josephine Cartolano.

He is survived by: his children, Rosario Cartolano, Joseph Cartolano (Karen) and Anthony Cartolano (Nella); his grandchildren, Joseph Cartolano (Amanda), Michael Cartolano (Debra Lee), Kristen Cartolano, Anthony Cartolano and Abrielle Cartolano; his great grandchildren, Christian, Luca, Caleb and Colby; and his sibling Mela Matranga.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Dello Russo Funeral Home (306 Main St, Medford, MA 02155). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Raphael Church (512 High St, Medford, MA 02155).
