He was predeceased by: his wife Rosemary Scavongelli (Solimine); his parents, Antonio Scavongelli and Carmela Scavongelli (Pecci); and his siblings, Dom and Ermie.
He is survived by: his sons, Richard Scavongelli, Jr. (Pamela), Peter Scavongelli (Michele) of Andover and Anthony Scavongelli (Susan) of Duxbury, MA.; his grandchildren, Anthony, Domenic, Alyssa, Peter, Daniel, Missy, Christopher and Katherine; his stepgrandchildren, Ben, Jackie, Carly and Alli; his great grandchildren, Alden, Serafina, Nolan and Aurelia; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Emily, Abby, Megan, Ryder, Lilah and Elia. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 11:30 AM at the St. Francis of Assisi Church (441 Fellsway W, Medford, MA 02155).
