He was predeceased by : his parents, Amadeo Dondero and Mabel Dondero (Casassa); his wife Virginia M. Dondero (Russo); and his brother John Dondero. He is survived by : his children, Lori LaPlant (Charles) and Lynn Amico (Wayne); his grandchildren, Samantha, Nicholas, Jennifer, Michael, Steven, Brian and Stephanie; his great grandchildren, Katlyn, Christopher, Emily, Madison, Owen, Kyle, Ryan, Dylan, Hailey, Tyler, Amelia and Zachary; and his sister Diane Rossi. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family, friends and neighbors.
