We are sad to announce that on December 7, 2025, William F. Coakley of Medford, Massachusetts passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the quiet moments of reflection, amidst the gentle rustle of leaves and the whispered song of the stars, we shall carry William's memory with us, a guiding light illuminating the path ahead. May William's journey be filled with peace and serenity, and may he find rest in the embrace of eternity.
He was predeceased by: his siblings, Albert (Robert Curran), John, Donald (Kevin Coakley), Margaret Colcord, Katherine Jordan and Elaine Buckland (Patricia Reavy).
He is survived by: his wife Bernadette "Bunny" Coakley (Mayo). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Breslin Funeral Home (610 Pleasant St, Malden, MA 02148). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church (600 Pleasant St, Malden, MA 02148).
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St., Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
