It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David F. Hitchman (Melrose, Massachusetts), who passed away on June 22, 2025, at the age of 53, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As David departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though David may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy David leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his father Arthur Hitchman (Claire Hitchman). He is survived by: his children, Sarah and Nicholas; the parent of his children Stacy; his mother Claire; his brother Arthur; his sister-in-law Lauren; his sister Jill; and his brother-in-law Michael Leeman. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Gately Funeral Home (79 W Foster St, Melrose, MA 02176). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Most Blessed Sacrament Church (1155 Main St, Wakefield, MA 01880). A burial will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Wyoming Cemetery (205 Sylvan St, Melrose, MA 02176).
