With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Debbie Stamegna (Melrose, Massachusetts), who passed away on July 8, 2025 at the age of 65. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her son Richard Fielding; her parent Jean Wirtanen; and her brother John "Jackie" Wirtanen. She is survived by: her husband Joseph Stamegna; her children, Joseph Stamegna Jr., Shannon Stamegna, Bonnie Stamegna and Lauren Fielding; her grandchildren, Tyler, Colin, Bryana and Joseph III; and her siblings, Tom (Lucille Gunn), Pam (Tim Daye), Nancy Ruggiero and Richard (Stephanie Wirtanen).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gately Funeral Home (79 W Foster St, Melrose, MA 02176). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary's Church (4 Herbert St, Melrose, MA 02176). A burial will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Wyoming Cemetery (205 Sylvan St, Melrose, MA 02176).
