She was predeceased by: her son Richard Fielding; her parent Jean Wirtanen; and her brother John "Jackie" Wirtanen. She is survived by: her husband Joseph Stamegna; her children, Joseph Stamegna Jr., Shannon Stamegna, Bonnie Stamegna and Lauren Fielding; her grandchildren, Tyler, Colin, Bryana and Joseph III; and her siblings, Tom (Lucille Gunn), Pam (Tim Daye), Nancy Ruggiero and Richard (Stephanie Wirtanen).
