He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred A. Richards and Grace Hope Richards (Vitagliano); his siblings, Leonard Richards (late Marina) and Marilyn Richards; and his siblings' child Robin Richards Imperato.
He is survived by: his wife Carol A. Diodati (Diodati); his sons, Fred R. Richards, Jr. (Christine) of Melrose and Derek J. Richards (Joy) of Georgetown; and his grandchildren, Morgan, Alexander, Nicholas and Michael Richards. He is also survived by his children and grandchildren.
