He was predeceased by: his parents, James Lehman Koontz and Joy Koontz (Kinneer) of Dayton, Ohio.. He is survived by: his son James F. Koontz (Jacqueline) of Lake Worth, FL; his wife Jacqueline; his siblings, Jill Ann Koontz of Boston, MA, Jennifer Leigh Duff of Melrose, MA and Bradley James Koontz (Tomo) of Sapporo, Japan.; his grandchildren, Hailey Joy Koontz and Harrison James Koontz; and his siblings' children, Thomas Albert Duff (Mary), Emmaline Elizabeth Duff, Noel Barrett Duff, Sophie Joy Duff and Isamu Lehman Koontz.
