He was predeceased by: his father Robert Batchelder. He is survived by: his wife Jill Egel Batchelder; his mother Joanne Batchelder; his in-laws, David and Hilda Egel; Ron Imperiali (Rebecca), Steven Imperiali (Kristin) and Susan Imperiali. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 19th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Gately Funeral Home (79 W Foster St, Melrose, MA 02176). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, May 19th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, May 19th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Temple B'Nai B'Rith Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes contributions to educational funds established for Mike's daughters, Lauren and Alyssa.
