With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nancy M. (Hirschfeld) Donovan of Melrose, Massachusetts, who passed away on May 30, 2025 at the age of 77. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Nancy M. (Hirschfeld) Donovan to pay them a last tribute.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Richard Donovan of Melrose; her children, Erin Leone (Nicholas) of Tewksbury and Kerri MacDonald (Timothy) of South Easton; her parents, William W. Hirschfeld and Mary Gertrude "Gert" (Noonan); her grandchildren, Brooke, Jack, Connor, Abby, Patrick and Charlotte; her siblings, Jean Deyoung (James) of Melrose, Jane DiMambro (Louis) of Melrose, William Jr. (Joy) of Melrose, Thomas (Cecily) of Winchester, Paul (Shari) of Medfield, Michael (Patricia) of Wilmington, Peter (Joanne) of Norwood, Joseph (Elizabeth) of Hampstead, NH and Mark; and her sister-in-law Donna Makosky (late Jan Z. Makosky) of Winthrop.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 8th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gately Funeral Home (79 W Foster St, Melrose, MA 02176). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Incarnation Church (425 Upham St, Melrose, MA 02176). A burial will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Wyoming Cemetery (205 Sylvan St, Melrose, MA 02176).
