He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Cox and Edna Cox. He is survived by: his wife Irene Ferreira; his children, David, Patricia (Adam) and Amanda (David); his grandchildren, Joshua, Zachary, Abigail, Jack, Lucas and Eleanor; and his siblings, Carl, Elaine and Arlene. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gately Funeral Home (79 W Foster St, Melrose, MA 02176). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church (645 Main St, Melrose, MA 02176).
