He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Scovelle and Constance Scovelle (Willey); his spouse Leslie A. (Powell); and his sibling C. J. Scovelle. He is survived by: his daughters, Nicole M. McCarthy (Bill Burns) of Melrose, Julie A. Scovelle of Dorchester and Danielle Clement (Kenny) of Hampton, NH.; his sister Janet Shephard (Jim) of Georgetown; and his grandchildren, Nicholas, Taylor Scovelle, Corey and Avery Clement. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
