With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Virginia Colbert (Melrose, Massachusetts), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 9, 2025 at the age of 86. In the vast expanse of eternity, Virginia shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Virginia farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gately Funeral Home (79 W Foster St, Melrose, MA 02176). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Most Blessed Sacrament Church (1155 Main St, Wakefield, MA 01880). A burial will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Puritan Lawn Memorial Park (185 Lake St, Peabody, MA 01960).
