It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter A. Johnson of Melrose, Massachusetts, who passed away on February 25, 2026, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Arne E. Johnson and Alice M. Johnson (Shaw); and his daughter Brenda A. Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Laura A. Johnson; his children, Walter A. Johnson, Jr. (Heidi Arrowsmith) of Stoneham, Eric E. Johnson (Elzi Johnson) of Melrose, Donna M. Johnson (Richard Popp) of Melrose and Denise M. Johnson of Melrose; his grandchildren, Catelyn A. Johnson (David John), Taylor A. Crane (Breandan Crane), Amanda A. Johnson (Dario Sousa), Nicholas W. Johnson, Brandon R. Tebo and Brittany M. Nowell; and his pet Ziggy. He is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.
