William L. Carney Obituary
We are sad to announce that on October 29, 2025, at the age of 93, William L. Carney (Melrose, Massachusetts) passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of William L. Carney to pay them a last tribute.
He is survived by: his wife Carol; his grandchildren, Matthew (Kara), Conor, Kerry (Michael), Sean, Ryan (Becky), Liam, Patrick, Kevin, Maeve, Meagan and Katherine (Fiona); and his great grandchildren, Madeline and Callie.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gately Funeral Home (79 W Foster St, Melrose, MA 02176). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Incarnation Church (425 Upham St, Melrose, MA 02176). A burial will be held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Wyoming Cemetery (205 Sylvan St, Melrose, MA 02176).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Bill's memory to one of two charities that were near to his heart: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital stjude.org or to Abby's House abbyshouse.org.
