He was predeceased by: his son Kenneth Fitzgerald; and his daughter-in-law Paula Fitzgerald. He is survived by: his wife Carmella; his children, Susan Milliken (Jay Milliken) and Mark Fitzgerald; Mathew of Manchester, Olivia of Manchester, Sean Fitzgerald (Sarah Sweny Fitzgerald) of Brighton, Patrick Fitzgerald of Boston, Kerry Fitzgerald (Kevin Dunphy) of Walpole, Marla Streb, Kiki of Costa Rica, Nico of Costa Rica, Kevin Fitzgerald, Diane Melo-Reilly of Melrose, William, Edward of Medford, Lauren Reilly of Boston and Lily Reilly of Melrose. He is also survived by the youngest of eleven children.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 1st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gately Funeral Home (79 W Foster St, Melrose, MA 02176). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary of the Annunciation Church (9 Herbert St, Melrose, MA 02176). A burial was held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at the Wyoming Cemetery (205 Sylvan St, Melrose, MA 02176).
