She was predeceased by : her parents, Andreas H. W. Vijsel and Magaretha L. Vijsel (Tielman); her husband Paul Smith; her son Patrick Smith; and her siblings, Albert Vijsel, Irene Velthuis and Albertine "Tine" Van Elten.

She is survived by : her children, Winny and Paul; her pet Jojo; her sisters, Nida Llewellyn and Noreen Dunn (Gene); her children, Harold "Harry" Smith (Brenda) of Peru, NY and Ingrid Long (Jim) of Melrose; her siblings, Maria "Oetje" Kappers and Jean Vijsel; her grandchildren, Heather Lavigne (Josh), JJ Long, Brandon Smith (Carrie), Tiffany Crosby (Andy), Kayla Smith and Jeffrey Long; and her great grandchildren, Sarah, Wyatt, Keegan, Kalib, Kayden and Patrick. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Robinson Funeral Home (809 Main St, Melrose, MA 02176). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Winny may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, PO Box 1999, Memphis, TN 38101 or Green Street Baptist Church, 179 Green St., Melrose MA 02176 or the charity of your choice.
