Cecelia Hatem Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Cecelia Hatem of Methuen, Massachusetts, who passed away on October 17, 2025 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Cecelia may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Cecelia touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Solomon Hatem and Josephine Hatem (Naman); and her siblings, Rose Hatem, Ida Garant, Naja Arrajj, William Hatem, John Hatem and Ernie Hatem.
She is survived by: her siblings, Bernice "Babe" Spencer of Methuen and Wallace Hatem (Theresa Hatem) of Lawrence. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and grandnieces and grandnephews.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Methuen Family Funeral Home (233 Lawrence St, Methuen, MA 01844).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her memory to St. Anthony's Maronite Church 145 Amesbury Street Lawrence, MA 01841.
