It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Douglas M. Hamel of Methuen, Massachusetts, who passed away on December 29, 2022, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Hamel and Lucille Hamel (Blanchette). He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Hamel (Andreoli); his daughters, Sarah Hamel-Spight (Bral) of North Andover, Kathryn "Katie" Hamel (Will) of Methuen and Leanne Hamel of Methuen; his siblings, Linda Smith (Louis) of Louisville, KY, Catherine Michaels (Walter) of Leominster, MA, Sheila Baker (Robert) of Maitland, FL, Jack Hamel (Debra) of Bushnell, FL, Shirley Leavitt (Scott) of Lakewood, GA, Cynthia Pettingill (Forest) of Nashua, NH, Roy Hamel (Jean) of Kingston, NH and Leslie Fallisi (Mark) of Salem, NH; his grandchildren, Zyanna, Dominic, Amber, Brenna, Gianna, Xavier and Giselle; and his siblings-in-law, Janet Beck (Bill) of Lawrence, MA, Victor A. Andreoli (Paula) of North Andover, MA and Victor Andreoli of Methuen. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
