He was predeceased by: his parents, Melia Hassey and Nasra Hassey of Lawrence, MA; and his sisters, Rose Beninato and Edith Keamy. He is survived by: his children, Dr. Edward Hassey of North Andover, MA, Susan Strandberg (Robert Strandberg) of Amelia Island, FL, John Hassey of Kingstown, RI and Catherine Marshall (Steven Marshall) of Chelmsford, MA; his grandchildren, Robert Strandberg, Caitlin Strandberg, Kelly Strandberg, Andrew Hassey (Stephanie) and Matthew Hassey; and his wife Mary. He is also survived by his children, several nieces and nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Joseph Melkite Church, 241 Hampshire Street, Lawrence, MA 01841, an organization Edward felt strongly about.
