It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jane E. McAvoy (Methuen, Massachusetts), born in Haverhill, Massachusetts, who passed away on January 29, 2024, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Francis A. McAvoy and E. Marguerite McAvoy (Wilson); her siblings-in-law, Kathleen McAvoy, Donald Blair and Robert Wespiser; and her friend Jean Ray.

She is survived by : her boyfriend Christopher J. Madden; her siblings, William McAvoy of East Hartford, CT, Patricia Blair of Summerville, SC, Frances Bowie (Melvin) of Plaistow, NH, Peggy Wespiser of Venice, FL and Robert McAvoy (Rose) of Salem, NH.; her nieces and nephews, Bill, John, Dan, Ellen McAvoy, Debbie Blair, Kendra Maurer, Kathy Wespiser-Kohn, Sandy and David Bowie; and her goddaughter Colleen Ray of Bradford.

“In loving memory of Jane E. McAvoy, May your heart and soul find peace and comfort. I met Jane about a year ago. She joined the knitting group at the Groveland Library. Jane was such a caring, thoughtful, and kind person. Everyone looked forward to her visits and stories she shared. It was a true blessing to have developed a friendship with her. She will be missed by many.”
