She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles H. and Mary E. Cove (Smith); and her siblings, Frannye Crocker, Charlene Russell and Charles H. Cove Jr..

She is survived by: her husband Dana M. Cheney; her sons, Todd (Karyn) of Carver and Zachary (Brittany) of Plymouth; her grandchildren, Aubrey, Owen, Olivia, Addison and Bryce; and her siblings, Carole MacKay of Virginia, Terry Lynn Humphrey (David) of South Carolina and Mary Lou Babin (Wayne) of South Carolina. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Community Covenant Church or to the American Cancer Society in her honor.
