It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lori Sue Godfrey of Middleboro, Massachusetts, born in Brockton, Massachusetts, who passed away on October 17, 2025, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Demers and Inez Demers (Anderson); and her children, Tanya M. Dumas and James C. Dumas. She is survived by: her husband John Godfrey of Shaw's Supermarket; her children, Kati L. Dumas (Jarod) of Connecticut and John C. Godfrey II of Middleboro; and her sisters, Terri Dineen of New Bedford, Julie Allen (Ricky) of Kentucky, Kelly J. DeVincent of Haverhill, Kathy M. Miller (Steven) of Middleboro, Joy Marie Lydon (Nick) of New Hampshire and Melody Lauzon (Kathleen Bantley) of Dudley. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives, and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Chapman Funerals & Cremations - Bridgewater (98 Bedford St, Bridgewater, MA 02324). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 27th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
