It is with sadness that the passing of Rita J. Meade of Middleboro, Massachusetts is shared. Rita, born on January 7, 1941, passed away on October 8, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry I. Crabbe and Evelyn R. Crabbe (Bailey). She is survived by: her husband Robert Meade; her children, Cheryl A. Daly (Kevin) of Middleboro, Mary Ann "Mimi" Welch of Lakeville, Noreen E. McCarthy (Neal) of Brockton and Robert T. Meade (Jodi) of North Easton; her brother Richard Crabbe (Betsy) of Raynham; and her grandchildren, Eric, Kacey, Krista, Kelsey, Amanda, Amelia, Allison, Adam, Jake, Nicholas and Jessica. She is also survived by 13 great grand-children, and also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services (605 Washington St, South Easton, MA 02375). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers donations in her name may be made to the Special Olympics Massachusetts, 512 Forest St. Marlborough, MA 01752 or to a charity of one's choice.
