He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James G. Samalis and Stasia W. Samalis (Saxon); his wife Claudia M. Samalis (Silva); his children, Stephen W. Samalis of Auburn and Laura C. Samalis of Milford; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Nikolas, W. Travis Poplaski, Jr. and Giana Samalis; and his great grandchild Violet Ducharme. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews and cousins.
