He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur C. Callahan Sr. and Katherine Callahan (Gleason); his daughter Debbie Callahan Hollowell; his children-in-law, Sandra Callahan and Ted Sullivan; his great grandchild Brendan Reyes; and his brother Paul Callahan.

He is survived by: his wife Adele F. Callahan (Kane); and his children, Lorraine Barbrow (Raymond) of Dora, MO, Joan Sullivan of Framingham, MA, John Callahan Jr. (Joan) of Franklin, MA and Marion Callahan Ewick (Peter Ewick) of Milford, MA. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 17 Great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; also several nieces & nephews.
