He is survived by : his wife Gerry; his children, Jim Kirkman (Mimi) of Acton, Anne Marie Hawkes (Glenn) of Newburyport and Kate Hoitt (Jim) of Acton; his siblings, Ronald Kirkman of Needham, Alan Kirkman of Laconia, NH, Richard Kirkman of Salem, NH and Valerie Sideri of Methuen; and his grandchildren, Kaylee, Grace, Elizabeth, Alex, Brady, Meredith and Sarah. He is also survived by Many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A prayer was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 7:00 AM at the Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel (370 Plantation St, Worcester, MA 01605). Visitation was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. The military honors was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery (111 Glenallen St, Winchendon, MA 01475).
