James Norton Hackett Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Norton Hackett of Millis, Massachusetts, born in Portland, Maine, who passed away on May 27, 2023 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carroll Hackett and Lillian Norton Hackett; and his brother Harold Hackett. He is survived by: his sister-in-law Linda Hackett; his nephew Arthur Hackett (Rachel) of Westbrook; his niece Elizabeth Squillante (Chris); his great-nieces, Katherine and Caroline of New Canaan; his cousin Patricia Locke of Lufkin, Texas.; and his close friend Jimmy. He is also survived by family, but the many friends, neighbors.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Oceanside Conservation Trust or Friends of Casco Bay, both of which Jim supported.
