He was predeceased by: his sister Nancy Gauvin; and his parents, Wilfred Francis and Ellen Butler (Odgren). He is survived by: his wife Pauline Butler (Capuano) of Oxford; his daughter Darlene Chachi of Oxford; his close friend Danny Jeyzk; and his pet Sammy. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
