He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Grimes and Charlotte Grimes (Krews). He is survived by: his stepparent Marion Grimes; his wife Susan Grimes (O'Donnell); his children, Spencer of Old Saybrook, CT, Terence of Berkeley, CA and Ashley of Los Angeles, CA.; his grandsons, Otto and Angus Grimes of Madison, CT.; and his sibling Kathe Elson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
