He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford G Slate and Lucienne R Slate (Lauzon); his daughter Michelle Slate Miller Smith; his former wife Jeanne Cormier Slate; and his brother-in-law Larry Hatch.
He is survived by: his son Todd Slate Miller; his son-in-law Bob Smith; his grandchildren, Brittany Orr Smith (Billy) and Robert Smith (Alyssa); his siblings, Robert Slate (Laurie), Paul Slate (Sheila), Eva Wiseman, Rose Slate and Gail Trudell (Donnie); his uncle Bob Slate; and his aunt JoAnn Slate. He is also survived by three great grandchildren, several stepchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
