He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyle Barnes and Alice Barnes (Ingraham); and his brothers, Roger W. Barnes and Theodore V. Barnes. He is survived by: his wife Cathieann Barnes (Dockham); his daughters, Heather A. Panico (Todd) of Monson, Carrieann I. Kumor of Ellington and Jessica A. Groleau (Jeremy) of Monson; his siblings, Robert T. B. Barnes and Judith Lusty of Monson; his grandchildren, Gabrielle A. Longe, Joshua L. Rodriguez, Sebastian J. Groleau, Jack H. Kumor and Duke J. Kumor; his stepgrandson Joshua B. Panico; his great grandchild Khaiden J. P. Randall-Longe; his stepgrandchildren, Maverick T. Panico and Chloe M. Panico; and his friend Bobby Coolong of Monson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children.
