He was predeceased by : his wife Debbie Mahoney. He is survived by : his children, Joshua Mahoney (Jessica), Justin Mahoney (Kate) and Jade Henne (Brant); his grandchildren, Cade, Chloe Mahoney, Sebastian and Tatum Henne; his brothers, William Mahoney (Marilyn) and Brian Mahoney (Deborah); and his close friend John Moleti (Sue).

“Teddy was a man of the sea. As it is to so many Mahoneys, the sea was his brother. He lived on it. He lived in it. He monitored its moods and captured its beauty on film. He was a man of Nahant, and firmly committed to the preservation of its unique place on this planet. He believed that his friends, his neighbors, their children, and grandchildren should know the stark, green, rugged beauty of East Point and the view from its heights. With his passing, our land and the sea are altered.”
