He was predeceased by : his parents, John F. Carmody and Mary E. Carmody (Cremin); and his siblings, Patrick Carmody, John Carmody, Dorothy Gareri (Carmody), Rita Godbout (Carmody), Eugene Carmody, Claire Curry (Carmody) and Marie Burke (Carmody).

He is survived by : his wife June Carmody (Broatch); his children, Kim Carmody of Nahant, Karen Carmody (Kenneth LeBlanc) of Nahant and Kevin Carmody (Kristin) of Nahant; and his grandchildren, Jason Carmody (Alyssa) of Lynn, James Osborne Jr. of Salem, Steven St. Ives of Nahant, Corey Carmody (Caitlin) of Nahant, Joshua LeBlanc of Louisiana and Casey Carmody (Joseph Ragusa) of Nahant. He is also survived by his four great-grandchildren, and many special nieces and nephews.
