She was loved and cherished by many people including : her husband Richard Hopkins; her parents, Cornelia G. Mueller and Josef C. Mueller; her son Douglas Hopkins; her sisters-in-law, Elise Hopkins and Priscilla Mueller; her brothers, Josef, Alan and Ralph Mueller; and her sons-in-law, Thomas Fenzel and David Hietala (Gayle). She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
