We are sad to announce that on May 22, 2026, Lidia (Ferreri) Fontecchio of Needham, Massachusetts passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Lidia farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Lidia is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Giuseppe Fontecchio; her children, Lino Fontecchio (Rosalie) of Westwood and Anna Fontecchio of Northboro; her grandchildren, Carla Fontecchio of Weymouth and Marco Fontecchio (Jaclyn) of Framingham; and her great grandchildren, Devin, Ryan and Clara.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 2nd 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home (1305 Highland Ave, Needham, MA 02492). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Church (1382 Highland Ave, Needham, MA 02492).
