He was predeceased by: his brother Leon Baran of Jamaica Plain; and his parents, Wolodymyr Baran and Kateryna Baran. He is survived by: his significant other Edith Merritt; his niece Katherine Baran-Paiz (William) of Bellingham; and his sibling-in-law Beverly Ann Baran of Jamaica Plain.

Mikola W. Baran, age 77, of Needham on May 30, 2020 due to complications of the COVID-19 virus.
