He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward O'Dea and Mary O'Dea; and his sisters, Norah and Bridget. He is survived by: his children, Colleen O'Dea Powell (Delroy Thompson), Patrick O'Dea, Lori O'Dea (Ellen Moses), Michael O'Dea (Kathy), Eileen O'Dea (Nick Buni) and Rory O'Dea (Sara Jones); his siblings, Maureen, Phyllis, Eamon, Geraldine, Michael and Anne; his former wife Annette Clancy; his close friend Sheila Dixon; and his friend England. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Bell O'Dea Funeral Home (376 Washington St, Brookline, MA 02445). A Mass will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary of the Assumption Church (5 Linden Pl, Brookline, MA 02445).
