He was predeceased by : his siblings, Mary, Theresa, Sheila, Timothy, Rose and Richard; and his parents, Timothy Tierney and Delia Tierney.

He is survived by : his wife Margaret A. "Peggy" Tierney (Pidgeon); his child Paul-John E. "PJ" (Kerri Tierney); his grandchildren, Emma and Eric Tierney; and his siblings, Jean Dognazzi, Patricia Tierney and Michael Tierney. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
