He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry B. Tavares and Bertha E. Tavares; and his granddaughter Serenity V. Tavares of Wareham. He is survived by: his children, Ronald A. Tavares of New Bedford and Tracey L. Tavares of New Bedford; his grandchildren, Ashley M. Kubik (Kory Kubik) of Assonet, Trevor M. Tavares of New Bedford and Ronae Tavares of Wareham; his great grandchildren, David Diaz Tavares, Cameron Tavares, Scarlett Barber, Violet Barber, Oliver Kubik, Kaylee Kubik, Dylan Kubik and Grayson Kubik; his sisters, Julianne Lopes of New Bedford, Barbara M. Sullivan of Marion, Jean E. Rose of Rochester and Mary Ellen Gomes of Atlanta, GA.; his cousins, Butch Tavares and Manual "Freddy" Tavares; and his friend Ramon "Ray" Soltren. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Chapman Funerals & Cremations - Wareham (2599 Cranberry Hwy, Wareham, MA 02571). A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
