She was predeceased by: her parents, José Sabino and Lucina Sabino (Costa); and her children, Danny Tavares and Sherry Ann Tavares. She is survived by: her daughter Michelle Tavares (José De Sousa) of Dartmouth; her grandchildren, Camryn and Tyla; and her great grandchildren, Jydel and Emmy.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 14th 2026 from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the Aubertine-Lopes Funeral Home & Cremation (129 Allen St, New Bedford, MA 02740). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 14th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church (230 Bonney St, New Bedford, MA 02744).
