With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Douglas C. Johnston of New Bedford, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 26, 2025 at the age of 74. As we bid Douglas farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Douglas is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Johnston and Susan Josephine Johnston (Parslow); and his son Mack Johnston. He is survived by: his wife Angela Johnston (Quintin); his children, Emma Johnston (Halle Rogers) of New Bedford, Quinn Johnston of Rhode Island and Ian Johnston of New Bedford; his brother Gary Johnston of New York; and his nieces and nephews, Leah Mamone, Tarah Johnston and Ben Johnston.
