He is survived by: his mother Natália Almeida Madeira; his sons, Jon and Joseph Madeira; his grandson Luca; and his siblings, Amélia Almeida (José O. Almeida), José F. Madeira (Lucia Madeira) and Carlos A. Madeira (Gayle). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, the Madeira family kindly asks that donations be made in John's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
