He is survived by: his children, Pauline Pittsley of New Bedford, John W. Cofer, Jr., Linda Carvalho (Michael) of New Bedford and Donald Cofer (Cheryl) of New Bedford. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
