He was predeceased by: his parents, Herculano Moniz Telheiro and Rosarinha Moniz Telheiro; his daughter Ana Maria Telheiro; and his siblings, Joao Telheiro, Rosa Cabecinha and Conceicao Ventura.
He is survived by: his wife Rosarinha Telheiro (Caetano); his nieces, Grace Telheiro-Furtado and Maria Furtado; and his siblings, Manuel Telheiro (Maria) of New Bedford, Herculano Telheiro (Eduarda) of Florida and Rosarinha Soares of Rosario. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and godchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the Perry Funeral Home (111 Dartmouth St, New Bedford, MA 02740). A Mass was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church (230 Bonney St, New Bedford, MA 02740). A burial was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at the Rural Cemetery (149 Dartmouth St, New Bedford, MA 02740).
