Joseph N. Strait Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joseph N. Strait (New Bedford, Massachusetts), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 11, 2025 at the age of 66. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joseph N. Strait to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ulysses Sutton and Cecelia Sutton (Deluze); and his sister Jacqueline Barboza. He is survived by: his wife Isabel F. Strait (Lopes) of New Bedford; his children, Damon J. Strait of New Bedford, Bobil Gales of New Bedford, Terrance Gales of New Bedford and Desiree Gales of New Bedford; his siblings, Kenneth C. Strait of Montclair, N. J., Michael W. Strait (Deolinda) of New Bedford, Sandra Johnson and Suzanne Strait; and his grandchildren, Rylan, Calli, Dyani, Avery, Halli, Dyson, Nyciere "King Strait", Aubrey, Jayceon, Ryann, Malaya, Zylah, Arlo, Aries and Aurora.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM and on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Aubertine-Lopes Funeral Home & Cremation (129 Allen St, New Bedford, MA 02740). A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location.
