He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton Hemmerly and Alice Hemmerly (Wiley). He is survived by: his wife Cathy Froias (DeCosta); his sons, Gustin Froias and Garrit Fonseca; his siblings, Dennis Hemmerly (Deborah), Brian Hemmerly (Monique) and Denise Edelman (Kenny); his cousins, Dawn Wiley and Laurie Anne Wiley; and his pet Buddy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
