With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lawrence R. MacDonald of New Bedford, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 12, 2025. In the quiet moments of reflection, amidst the gentle rustle of leaves and the whispered song of the stars, we shall carry Lawrence's memory with us, a guiding light illuminating the path ahead. He was predeceased by: his parents, Willis T. Donald and Marie Delores Mac Donald (Tetreault); and his brothers, Robert A., Michael D. and Gary W. Mac Donald.
He is survived by: his siblings, Philip W. Mac Donald of New Bedford, Caroline M. Audette (Mark) of Burrillville, RI and Marilyn E. Ferris (Tom) of New Bedford; and his close friend Nicole Brisson of New Bedford. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Riverside Cemetery (274 Main St, Fairhaven, MA 02719). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 12:00 PM at 71 Hope St, Acushnet, MA 02743.
